Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Prepare electrical construction drawings and specifications for new construction, existing facilities expansion, and renovation projects for commercial and industrial facilities.
• Projects will be of moderate to high complexity.
• Responsible for applying engineering fundamentals to designs of electrical systems.
• Obtains architectural, civil, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical data from documents, occupant interviews, and field measurements.
• Communication with internal staff, clients, and other consultants/disciplines.
• Compiles specifications and contract documents.
• Responsible for overall system design, sizing and layout, selection of components for systems, electrical design.
• Responsible for preparation of cost estimates and in coordination of construction
and renovation projects.
• Supervision of CAD and design staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5-10 years experience in commercial and industrial.
• Ability to design, coordinate and manage projects.
• Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to design of electrical systems.
• Skill in the use of word processing, spreadsheet and project financial software.
• Ability to perform field review and make necessary adjustments to conform to job specifications.
• Ability to perform system design functions.
• Thorough knowledge of construction documents and specifications.
• Citizenship or permanent resident
