Senior Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
Mechanical Engineering Department urgently needs a Mechanical Engineer. Seeking experienced candidates (recent college graduates with limited experience will not be considered). Bachelors and/or Masters Mechanical Engineering degree required. Mechanical engineering position supporting engineering group in the design and integration of Tactical Operation Centers (TOCs). Primary role is to manage the design and evaluation of engineering models, adobe acrobat documents and drawings for completeness of design, adherence to all documentation requirements, proper dimensioning techniques, fit checks and tolerance analyses to insure items can be fabricated as designed. Experience and/or knowledge in the following areas is required: - Computer aided design experience using Pro/E Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or other CAD packages - Ability to obtain a security clearance - Knowledge of standard drawings practices associated with Technical Data Packages (DI-SESS- 81000, MIL-DTL-31000, ASME Y14.100, etc.) - Must be a self starter, able to operate with little direction - Must have good verbal and written communication skills Experience in the following areas is an asset: - Previous military experience, experience within the DoD as a civilian, or experience with a defense contractor - Proven understanding and/or understanding of basic manufacturing tools and processes Final Grade Determination Based on Qualifications and Experiences of Selected Candidate An Equal Opportunity Employer, M/F/D/V ability to obtain Security Clearance if Required a plus.
